Technology. I have been on a tech roller coaster for the past year. I went from a 15 inch TV to a very large flat screen with satellite and TIVO and DVD player. I have a new refrigerator with a water dispenser and an ice maker. From no computer in my house to two. And I am loving every minute of it! I have learned how to tame all of it so that it is serving me and not the other way around.
Now Library & Classroom Learning 2.0. As I begin to explore each of the new tools I feel like it is adding more work but after working with it week after week and sharing what I learn with my friends and colleagues I am beginning to see that I can tame all of this as well.
Our school's yearbook is created online. My students and I can work on it anywhere we have a computer with internet access. We were able to start before the school year began and our work can continue whether we are at home or at school or on vacation. All photos are digital and can be immediately put online and placed into the book. Learning 24/7. This is the kind of experience I want to create with the 2.0 tools we are learning about now.

Thanks for the comment! We have had some great, creative times together, and I think our curriculum is stronger for it. As to taming the technology, you go, girl! You are always the first person I think of when I have a tech question. Keep up the good work.
The ability to work anywhere, anytime is a double edged sword. I think it is great that you are creating your yearbook online, but do take care to take time for yourself. Sometimes the computers can tend to take over your life. I'll just check YouTube for a few minutes, and then the day is gone!
